Hamilton, Bermuda Waterfront Expansion

The City of Hamilton has one of the most beautiful waterfronts and harbors worldwide, however over the years there have been several attempts to alter this iconic island waterfront to accommodate a new generation of Panamax cruise ships. This plan does so within an economically viable framework and enhances the quality and character of this historic waterfront.

The proposed plan has four key ideas: move the huge cruise ships slightly away and to the side of the waterfront, create new and connect existing public open space to accommodate the civic festivals and cruise events and to build much needed housing and residential services in the downtown on the water and to rationalize both land and water circulation in and around the harbor.
